Product Overview

This is a reinforcement lock designed for inward-swinging doors, fitted in addition to your existing lock to add resistance against kicking, prying and forced entry. The body is made from aluminium alloy, and the lock is supplied with eight screws (four long, four short) and a manual for fitting.

The design centres on a few practical details: an adjustable knob with a 0–8mm range so the lock can sit tightly against different door gaps, and a soft rubber pad that sits between the lock and the door to help prevent scratches. The locking action is released by pinching the top and bottom grooves and sliding — a one-hand movement intended to be quick to operate in an emergency, while remaining difficult for young children to open.

It is suited to flat and house front doors, bedroom doors and hotel room doors, and can be used either on its own or alongside an existing deadbolt. Before ordering, check that your door is an inward-swinging single door and that the gap and frame condition fall within the fitting requirements noted below.

Suitable For

This lock is intended for inward-swinging single doors, including front doors, flat doors, bedroom doors and hotel rooms. It may suit renters and homeowners looking to add a visible second barrier to an entry door, as well as guest accommodation where a simple, intuitive lock is useful.

It is not suitable for doors that open outwards, sliding doors or double doors. It is also not suitable where the door clearance is less than 0.08 inches, where the frame is misaligned, or for oversized doors. Please check your door type and measurements before buying.

Care Information

Wipe the lock with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry it afterwards. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, which may mark the finish or the rubber pad. Periodically check that the screws remain tight and that the sliding action moves freely; if it becomes stiff, clear any dust or debris from the grooves rather than forcing the mechanism.
