Product Overview

This is a door reinforcement kit for standard residential entry doors. It combines jamb, lock and hinge protection in one set, so the vulnerable points of a front door are strengthened together rather than one at a time.

The kit is built from 18-gauge galvanised steel with a high-temperature powder coating. The five components are a 46-inch jamb shield, two mini door shields and two hinge shields, fixed with hardened self-tapping Torx screws.

It is intended for homeowners who want to reinforce an existing door, or repair a frame that has been weakened or damaged by forced entry. Fitting takes around 30 minutes with a standard cordless drill, and the jamb shield has knock-out holes to suit lock spacing from 4.5″ to 21.5″.

Care Information

Wipe the steel plates with a soft, damp cloth when needed and dry afterwards. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, which can mark the powder-coated finish. Check the screws occasionally and tighten any that have worked loose.
