These adjustable window security bars are designed to sit in the track of a sliding window or balcony door and hold it at a set opening. By limiting how far the window can slide, they let you keep air flowing through a room while making it harder for someone outside to force the window open.

The bars are made from metal with a smooth finish and extend from roughly 11 inches to 18 inches, so you can set the opening to the width you want. Fitting is a case of placing the bar in the window or door track; no tools are needed to put it in place or take it out again. The compact size also means they can be packed in luggage for use in hotel rooms, rental apartments or dormitories while travelling.

As well as restricting forced entry, the bars can hold a window at a narrower width to help stop children or pets climbing out. They are intended for small windows — please check your window size before ordering, as a longer bar is available separately for larger windows.
