This is a hinge-mounted doorstop that fits into the hinge pin rather than onto the wall or floor. It is designed for standard residential hinges of 3″ to 4-1/2″ with a 1/4″ pin diameter, and works with interior wood doors, metal doors and heavier solid doors, on both single and double doors.

The stop sits discreetly within the hinge itself, so there is no bulky rubber tip and no wall-mounted fitting on show. The Satin Nickel finish suits modern, farmhouse and traditional interiors alike, and keeps the door hardware looking consistent. Because nothing is fixed to the wall or floor, there are no trailing fittings to trip over.

Made from high-strength carbon steel with an anti-rust, scratch-resistant finish, it is intended to stay in place through daily use without working its way up the hinge pin. A precision cam limits the swing to a maximum of 160°, so you can set the opening angle you want and avoid doors hitting walls, skirting or trim.

Fitting takes three steps and no tools: remove the hinge pin, slide the stop on, and reinsert the pin. It is a practical choice for rented homes and DIY fitting, where drilling or wall fixings are best avoided.

Care Information

Wipe occasionally with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth to keep the finish clean. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, which can dull or scratch the Satin Nickel surface. Check from time to time that the stop is seated correctly on the hinge pin and that the cams are touching the hinge plate on both sides.
